A graduate of National School of Drama, New Delhi and a Post-graduate Certificate holder in 'Educational Studies' from the University of Bath, United Kingdom. I have been an International Baccalaureate Theatre Educator for 12 years and have been in the field of Theatre Education for more than 20 years.
I am on a mission “to create an army of theatre teachers” in India and founded Amala’s Programme for Theatre in 2021. I have trained more than 100 theatre teachers who are teaching theatre successfully for National and International Boards in India.
There is a dearth of theatre teachers in the country. I'm on a mission 'to create an army of theatre teachers' who can help children hone their creative expressions and become confident & efficient communicators.
With over 20 years of experience in teaching theatre, I train theatre teachers to teach successfully and help subject teachers to incorporate theatre tools in their classrooms teachings.
I founded this community to help teachers learn from theatre experts and educators to upscale their theatre teaching skills and knowledge.

The coach will start by conducting an assessment of the current state of the Theatre Education, including its strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats. This step helps to identify the areas that need the most attention and to set realistic goals.
Once the coach has a clear understanding of the teacher's needs, they will work with the teacher to develop a customized plan to address the identified challenges. This plan will include specific strategies and tactics to enhance conceptual knowledge, skills and applications required to teach theatre successfully.
The coach will work closely with the teachers to implement the plan and provide ongoing support and guidance. The coach will help the teachers stay on track, make progress towards their goals, and overcome any obstacle that arises. They will also provide feedback, resources and mentoring to help the client improve their teaching skills and conceptual knowledge.
